since you loved the bookstore's mission so much, ellen, i HAVE to share this incredible little two-lady-team printing house that i just discovered. they're called MANDYLION PRESS and they publish"overlooked novels by nineteenth-century women and weirdos." it sounds like persephone's books and manylion press have very similar missions!! i am soooooo intrigued by the 1918 title you picked up!! <3 also way too hype about this giveaway. i don't think i've ever entered one so quickly before. tomorrow is my 30th birthday, so i'm definitely going to consider it a bday present from you if i win. just saying. happy thursday!!
Your writing always fills me with so many thoughts, I’m not sure where to begin. I will say that readers are in for such a treat in September when The Heartbreak Hotel comes out and I think carrying around the ARC was a brilliant idea.
The bookstore you visited looks like something you may have invented it as a setting for a future book but it appears to be real! 😊
The books you mentioned sound interesting. I remember hearing about Fear of Flying when I was in college almost ten years after its release but I don’t think I ever read it. Cocktails? 😉
Literary fiction vs ‘chick lit’ sounds like a topic I’d like to read more about.
this newsletter both romanced and intellectualized my Saturday 🧚♀️
an honor!!
Despised and Rejected sounds incredible! I can't wait to read it.
i think it would be right up your alley, erin!
omg I went to Bath 100% for Persephone—lifelong dream! Coolest place!!
I knew nothing about it and SO glad I stumbled across it!
